Veils of Worlds

There is a dream,
There is a world,
Just beyond the veil,
Felt through music, seen just beyond the dark, heard so faintly.

It’s not an illusion,
It’s a fickle creature,
Impossible to grasp,
Yet unforgettable.

It walks the edge of my dreams between sleeping and waking,
It taps the cobblestones of places I know but have never been,
It sends riddles with no answers or return address,
It hides from my seeking but it never truly gone.
