Lunara by Samus-Merid

Heavy handed, in the gaze of the moon,
I can feel my own power eclipse in the thought,
A dangerous tranquility, a seducing sense of wonder,
A calm before the storm, a barely whispered prayer on the edge of darkness.

Lunara take me; distill the dews of the forests upon my soul,
Run with me with faint laughter, caution-less through the wind,
Wrap me in the romance that is the soft light between night and day,
Lace every word with endless wisdom, teach us to somehow forget and remember.

Open hearted, I can feel the whole world reach up and gather in the sky,
Then thunder and explode below, and stop time,
In the cataclysm of the chaos, there is more in a moment than most lifetimes,
And when you can paint the shades of fate, what words can compare to this magic?

Dancing freely, gravity grants pardons to the grace of a soul found free,
Herein is the way mankind is both lost and saved,
Where we may remember what was once forgotten,
And forget, all that does not lead us home.

Lunara, the moment of mankind’s awareness of all they can be,
In the heaviness of knowledge that pours peace into wounds rendered from a savage world,
There is a freedom found, in the circle of eclipse, where man no longer can be alone,
But is found by that being that gave the first breath,
Therein I say Lunara, take me home to the source a life ever more,
If only a moment let me drink from those waters I once knew so well,
Hold me close and safe, as if I was a child in your arms again.

Eyes closing, the soft light flowing through the chill of the night,
I can breathe in the air as if this breath, was both my first and my last,
Lunara, take me, infuse me with the power to be more than I have been,
Lead me through the veils of life, and call me by the name only you know,

Call me home,
With all the beauty of the Earth before us,
And say Lunara,
And take me home forevermore.
Lunara is a word I use to describe the meeting of Human Nature with a more powerful and purer experience, like writing a poem in the moonlight at the edge of the most powerful magical forest and opening your whole soul to all of nature and the eclipse of the union, that is only the beginning of what Lunara means.
