Strings Of Life by Samus-Merid
Oh what a complex thing life is,
So intertwined, pieces attaching and falling off,
All in turn, all in purpose,
And oh how delicately the master works over us all.
We are all connected, in more ways than one,
By spirit, by thought, by feeling, by family, by love,
And love is one of the first things we know in life,
And right then, we know it’s worth keeping.
There are other things, in life, worth keeping too,
Like peace, and compassion, and understanding,
Things like faith, and hope, and truth,
And the best way I have ever known something to keep, is to share it.
I have known, of all the best of things,
From family, friends, loved ones and companions,
And upon the time, anyone learns, we are all family,
Oh what love abounds in our hearts for our fellow brothers and sisters!
Our brother, came and faced it all, took upon himself,
All of our burdens, all of our fears, our sins, our doubts,
And he gave His life,
So that we may live.
What thanks can we give to the brother who gives all he has for us,
What can we do to honor him that shows us the way home,
How grateful can one person be for a gift so pure and perfect,
More than words can describe and farther than thoughts can reach.
To a place where in time, the Lord takes you up from your part in life,
And sees you are clean in His hands,
And bathes you in light and salvation,
And places you with His kingdom, to be with our family forever more.
